ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (Posted 3-20-26)

Sealed bids will be received by the Safety – Service Director of the City of Coshocton,
Ohio until 11:00 AM on Monday May 4, 2026, for the purchase of the following listed
materials and supplies for the City of Coshocton in accordance with the plans and
specifications now on file in the Office of the Service Director, City Hall, 760 Chestnut
Street, Coshocton, OH 43812 and at said address, sealed bids will be publicly opened
and read aloud at 11:00 AM on Monday May 4, 2026 for:

ALUM
CHLORINE
CO2
FLUORIDE
LIME
SODIUM HEXAMETAPHOSPHATE
VEHICLE FUEL

Each proposal shall be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope
identifying the material/supply of the bid enclosed. Bidders submitting bids for more than
one chemical must submit each bid in a separate envelope clearly marked on the
outside of each envelope the type of bid enclosed. Multiple bids may not be submitted in
the same sealed envelope. Proposals shall be addressed to the Safety-Service Director,
City Hall, 760 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, OH 43812. Specifications may be obtained
at the Safety-Service Director’s office at the aforementioned address. Each proposal
must be accompanied by a bond with an approved surety company or a cashier’s check
on a solvent bank drawn and made payable to the City of Coshocton, Ohio in the sum of
$300.00. Should any bid be rejected, each bond or cashier’s check shall be forthwith
returned to the bidder; and should any bid be accepted, such bond or cashier’s check
will be returned upon proper execution and securing of the contract. The successful
bidder will be required to execute a contract within ten (10) days after the award of the
contract. In case of failure to execute the contract as stated, the bidder will be
considered to have abandoned the contract and the bond or check accompanying the
proposal shall be forfeited to the City not as a penalty but as liquidated damages. The
City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the contract to the lowest
or best bidder. Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company
interested in same. The City reserves the right to reject any bid that does not contain
evidence of satisfactory completion of similar contracts. The City reserves the right to
waive irregularities in bids and form. By Order of the Safety-Service Director, Max
