All City Parks are protected by a surveillance system.
The City is currently working on having Wi-Fi access available to all city park visitors
Coshocton City Recreation Department is responsible for maintaining our six city parks. The department also works closely with our City School System and Kids America to provide fields for baseball and softball teams.
Bancroft Park – Located on South 11th Street is an established neighborhood park recently renovated with playground equipment for children ages 12 and under. There is a bike path around the park along with a school bus stop shelter and picnic tables.
City Recreation Park – Located near Kids America on Otsego Avenue. The City’s largest park offers 5 ball fields for High School, Pony League and Little League. There is one Soccer Field and 3 Pickleball Courts. There is a concession stand and restrooms open during games. Along with walking paths, picnic area, a shelter, a dog park and a catch & release pond.
Himebaugh Park – Located at the corner of 7th Street and Orange Street has a 1/5th mile walking path, shelter, playground equipment, basketball court and room for pick up games for softball and soccer. The entrance has been beautifully landscaped by a Coshocton Leadership Class as their class project.
Riverfront Park – Located on CR271 across from the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant has a boat launch, parking lot and green space. This is the first stop on the Muskingum River Trail. There are plans to do additional work as funds are available.
Water Works Park – Located on North Water Street this is the city’s newest park and the last stop on the Tuscarawas River Trail. It features a boat ramp, bank fishing, a gazebo and green space. This park offers peace and tranquility within its natural habitat.
